These guys were ALL the buzz at SXSW this year. Everywhere I went, I overheard people talking about this band. All the cool kids wanted to see their live show. This album has made numerous EOY lists and for good reason. Infectious roots rock masterfully crafted. Heralding from Athens, Alabama are lead singer Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, bassist Zac Cockrell, and drummer Steve Johnson. Brittany's voice is rugged, soulful and powerful. They've been nominated for a grammy, so be looking for this band to explode in the near future.
