This is a departure for Mystery Jets on some levels, but an enjoyable one. They locked themselves away in a country house outside of Austin, Texas and this album is the result. Sister Everett is a song based on a Mormon trying to convert one of the band members on the plane ride over. There is definitely an Austin influence on the album. Mystery Jets are based out of London and are comprised of Henry and Blaine Harrison, William Rees, Peter Cochrane, and Matt Park. The band are good friends with Laura Marling. I loved Twenty-one, however, this album sounds a lot more mature for this band.
Thanks for stopping by. I listen to entirely too much music and love sharing music almost as much as I love listening to it. The purpose of this blog is to do just that and bring you along the journey with me.
