11. The Morning Benders - Big Echo

I discovered The Morning Benders a couple years ago opening for The Submarines and found their music to be infectious even though they looked like little babies up on stage (and still did at The Fillmore this fall). This release got them a lot of press and acclaim and focused a lot on their 50's-esque sound right down to the ballads. They are based out of Berkeley, California and consist of brothers, Chris and John Chu, Julian Harmon and Tim Or. Check out the video below of Excuses for something really cool.
