Merrill Garbus is the inspiration behind the highly stylized tUnE-yArDs, who have been featured in the Top 10 of 2011 here. She makes her music by layering her sounds and rhythms one on top of the other with amazing precision. Saw her open for Arcade Fire earlier this year and really want to see these guys in a small venue. Truly remarkable music.
