Alabama based singer/songwriter Katie Crutchfield formerly of the band, P.S. Eliot, a band she formed with her twin sister, is, for all intents and purposes, Waxahatchee. Crutchfield writes and sings all the music and has a touring band. The band is named after a creek in Alabama. This is her third album and still raw and hollowed out as the first one, even though she recently signed to Merge records. Her music pierces through you and forces you to listen. It sounds like her sister has helped out some on this album. She played at Bad Granny's a few years ago, now that would've been a show.
