I love when local artists make this list. Samantha Crain returns to us this year an album chock full of finely crafted folk tunes. The kind that make you want to sit by a roaring fire and sip on something through the night. The kind that cover you like a warm blanket. This woman has not put out a bad album yet. This particular album showcases her songwriting prowess. Outside The Pale has become one of my favorite songs of the year and is where the title of the album is drawn from.
