By sheer odds, Beach House had to make the list. They broke all the rules this year and released two albums much to the chagrin of critics, but to the delight of all the fans. I have to say....I think Depression Cherry is the better album of the two, but only by a minute amount, but this one makes the list because it came out first and got much more listening time. So, my advice. Listen to them both. A lot. They played Cain's this year and if you've never seen these guys live, it is truly an amazing experience. Beach House is no stranger to this blog.
