10. Lucius - Wildewoman
This album came out in October and quickly shot up to the number 10 spot in this list. If it had come out earlier this year, there is no doubt that it would've been in the top five. Another band out of Brooklyn, Lucius reminds me of Santogold a bit, but with a lot more melody and pizzazz. The band consists of: Jess Wolfe (voice), Holly Laessig (voice), Dan Molad (drums), Peter Lalish (guitar), Andrew Burri (guitar). I think they've made about every year end list I've seen so far this year and for very good reason.
